Football Player Michael Holbok
Buffalo State junior defensive end Michael Holbok (Buffalo/St. Joe's) was named the Buffalo State Athlete of the Week.
He was a consensus selection for Third Team All-America, earning the honors from the College Sports Information Directors, Don Hansen's Football Gazette and D3Football.com. Holbok led the nation with 28 tackles for losses and finished tied for ninth in the country in sacks-per-game, averaging 1.2. He finished the season with 58 tackles including 32 solo stops.
Holbok is the first Buffalo State player to reach All-America status since 2000.
