Former Bengal Mikolaichik to Play in Professional Indoor Football Title Game
ROCHESTER, NY—Former Buffalo State quarterback Mike Mikolaichik will lead the Rochester Raiders into the championship game of the Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) this Saturday against the Michigan Pirates at Rochester’s Blue Cross Arena. Kickoff is 8:05 p.m.
Mikolaichik, a Hilton-native who quarterbacked the Bengals from 2004 through 2006, led the Raiders to a 10-2 regular season record and was 14 of 17 for 251 yards and six touchdowns in his team’s 80-45 trouncing of the New England Surge in the Atlantic Division final to earn the right to play in the title game.
Mikolaichik earned his bachelor’s degree in childhood education this past fall and is currently working as a substitute teacher in the Ken-Ton School District.
