Former Buffalo State players Mike Holbok (Williamsville/St. Joe's) and Mike Mikolaichik (Hilton/Hilton) have signed professional contracts to continue their football careers.

Holbok has signed with the Rock River Raptors in Rockford, Ill. of the United Indoor Football League, and Mikolaichik is under contract with the Rochester Raiders of the Great Lakes Indoor Football League.

Mikolaichik was a three-year starter at quarterback, twice earning All-Atlantic Central Football Conference honors. Also an Academic All-Conference honoree, he finished his career this past fall with 5,337 yards in the air and had 30 passing touchdowns. An elementary education major, Mikolaichik just needs to complete his student teaching to earn his degree. Mikolaichik will battle for playing time on the Raiders with two-time NFL Pro Bowler and Super Bowl XXVI MVP Mark Rypien.

Holbok and the Raptors will kickoff their season on March 25 against the Evansville Bluecats. Mikolaichik's Raiders will begin on April 7 against the NY/NJ Revolution.
