Higher education and student affairs administration student Gina Foster has received the 2013 Robert A. Davis Scholarship.
A letter of thanks from Foster:
Thank you for selecting me as the 2013 Robert A. Davis (RAD) Scholarship recipient. This is an enormous honor! I wish to also thank Dr. Wanda M. Davis for encouraging me to apply and my mentor, and former RAD Scholar, Ms. Jamie Jueckstock, for her recommendation.
I humbly and enthusiastically accept the Robert A. Davis (RAD) Endowed Scholarship. I will utilize these funds to attend the 2013 American College Personnel Association (ACPA) conference where I will participate in professional development workshops and network with professionals from all over the country.
I am currently a resident director at Collegiate Village, an off-campus privately owned and operated student apartment complex, and I am active in the higher education community. Through my position I make a difference in the lives of students. I am also fortunate to have outstanding mentors in the student affairs profession that I can lean on when I do not have the answers. As a long-time, active member of the Buffalo State community, I am proud to be graduating from the Higher Education Administration Department in May of this year.
Again, thank you for selecting me for this honor.
Sincerely,
Gina Foster
