On Saturday, November 9, SUNY Buffalo State will welcome acclaimed jazz singer Bobby Caldwell for an 8:00 p.m. show at the Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall as part of the Great Performers Series presented by M&T Bank.
Caldwell is a multi-instrumentalist who has enjoyed a prolific 30-year career. His classic, "What You Won't Do For Love" has been recorded and sampled by more than 100 artists. His songwriting skills have earned hits not only for himself, but also for well-known artists like Chicago, Neil Diamond, and Al Jarreau.
Drawing from his vast repertoire of rousing R&B, intimate smooth jazz stylings, and big band songs, Caldwell’s rhythm and blues band will reconnect with past hits and give new songs a torching, vibrant flair.
Tickets for each show are $40 for the lower tier, $35 for the upper tier, $32 for seniors, and $32 for Buffalo State faculty and staff. Students may purchase $15 tickets one hour prior to the show. (716) 878-3005. www.buffalostatepac.org.
