Hobart Wins Men's Hockey Invitational; Defeats Buffalo State, 4-0

Hobart (1-0-1) outshot Buffalo State (1-3-0) 44-22 as it blanked the Bengals, 4-0, to claim the championship in the Buffalo State Invitational.

After taking a 1-0 lead into the first intermission, the Statesmen exploded for three goals in the first nine minutes of the second stanza to put the game out of reach. Colby McVey, Craig Levey, Will Bodine, and Shawn Houde all tallied a goal and an assist. Greg Gallagher and Brian Keane each chipped in two assists. Dimitri Papaevagelou made 22 saves for the shutout in his first collegiate start.

Hobart finished the tournament with six points to win the championship. Fredonia finished as the tourney's runner-up with five points.
