Hordge Wins 200, Track & Field Runs at RIT Invite

ROCHESTER, NY—Willie Hordge (Buffalo/ Forestbrook TX) won the 200-meter dash in 22.31 seconds as Buffalo State competed tonight at the RIT Black and Orange Invitational.

Other strong finishers on the men’s side included Kenny Johnson (Rochester/ Eastridge) and Joe Russell (N. Tonawanda/ N. Tonawanda) who finished second (6.61) and third (6.65) respectively in the 55-meter dash. Russell also had a third-place showing in the 55-meter hurdles (8.17). Tim Diegelman (Clarence/ Clarence) was fourth in the high jump (1.82m) and fifth in the long jump (6.49m), and Shilah Richardson (Auburn/ Auburn) placed fifth in the 400-meter run (52.15) despite being punched by a competitor on the final lap.

On the women’s side, Tiffany Aaron (Rochester/ Wilson Magnet) was third in the 200-meter dash (27.43). Kelly Tooley (N. Syracuse/ CNS) finished fourth in the shot put (10.64m), and Taniqua Hollingsworth (Buffalo/ East) was fifth in the 55-meter dash (7.63).

Buffalo State will travel to Mt. Union next Saturday.
