Hughes, Migliorino Set School Records, Track and Field Runs at U. of Rochester
ROCHESTER, NY—Margaret Hughes (Elmira/ Elmira Free Acad.) and Dana Migliorino (Wayne, NJ/ Wayne Valley) each set new school records as Buffalo State’s track and field teams competed at the University of Rochester Alumni Invitational today.
Hughes placed third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a school record time of 12:35.89. Migliorino reached new heights in the pole vault, clearing 2.65 meters to place fourth.
Other strong showings for the women included Taniqua Hollingsworth (Buffalo/ East) placing third in the 200-meter dash (26.17). Reya Russell (N. Tonawanda/ N. Tonawanda) was fourth in the 100-meter run (13.26), and Kelly Tooley (Cicero/ CNS) was fourth in the discus (34.53m).
Ray Peoples (Buffalo/ Cleveland Hill) posted the top finishes for the men, placing second in the 100-meter dash (11.19) and third in the 200-meter dash (22.82).
Buffalo State will compete at Slippery Rock University next Friday and Saturday.
