Indoor Track and Field Places at Mt. Union Open

ALLIANCE, Ohio--Buffalo State's indoor track and field teams competed at the Mt. Union College Open today, and the men placed fourth of nine teams while the women finished seventh.

Justin Muise (Kenmore/Kenmore West) and Joe Wooley (Amherst/Sweet Home) each won individual events on the men's side. Muise won the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.16. Wooley won the triple jump with a distance of 13.71 meters (45'). Eric Bream (Lockport/Lockport) placed second in the 500-meters (1:07.87), Brendan Thompson (Buffalo/Seneca) finished third in the long jump (6.27m/20'7"), and Josh Demars (Fulton/G. Ray Bodley) was third in the 800-meter run (2:04.86).

On the women's side, Jenelle Orosz (N. Tonawanda/N. Tonawanda) was second in the high jump (1.56m/5'1 1/4"), and Camarra Winfrey (Buffalo/City Honors) was second in the 55-meter dash (7.47). Lavonne Barfield (Rochester/Wilson Magnet) placed third in the triple jump (10.46m/34'4").

Buffalo State will compete in the SUNYAC Championships at Hobart on Feb. 18.
