Jedynak Lands in Buffalo State Volleyball Record Book
Buffalo State senior tri-captain Denise Jedynak (Hamburg/Frontier) etched her name into the Buffalo State Volleyball record book last night as she set a new school best for digs in a season, and matched the career mark.
Jedynak became the first Bengal to record 500 digs in a season as she currently has 504, surpassing the old record of 478 set by Melissa Sullivan in 1994. She also equaled the career record of 1,059 digs originally set by Amber Kehr from 1996 through 1999.
The Bengals still have a minimum of 13 matches to play this season. They will finally open their home schedule tomorrow night against St. John Fisher at 7 p.m. in the Sports Arena.
