Live from Buffalo State, It's Saturday Night!

Be part of a live studio audience this Saturday evening, December 12, as the television and film arts program (TFA) presents a comedy sketch show in the vein of Saturday Night Live.

The performance, “BS Live: A First Class Finale,” starts at 7:00 p.m. in the Donald Savage Theater and Communication Building's Flexible Theater. Arrive early to ensure a seat. Admission is free, but donations at the door are welcome.

The two-hour multimedia performance represents a deep collaboration among students and faculty in the TFA program and the Communication, Theater, and Music departments. As part of their senior project, TFA students, working with assistant professor Louis Rera, have scripted and produced short videos to be interspersed with comedic live skits. Host Chet Wild, a Buffalo State creative studies major and local comedy club performer, keeps the audience laughing between videos. Live music is performed by music major Michael Larkin on guitar, accompanied by student musicians. TFA senior Brooke Rewa is the show’s executive producer.

“BS Live: A First Class Finale” will be available on DVD with extra behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with the show’s writers and producers.
