Health Fair Kickoff Event

The health fair will kick off Prevention Education Week on campus. 

Greater Western New York Law School Fair 2019

The Career Development Center (CDC) invites all students and alumni to talk one on one with recruiters from more than 70 law schools. Get answers to all your questions about the application process, admission requirements, financial aid opportunities, and more. Biology and Great Lakes Center Seminar: 'Disruption of the Molecular Circadian Clock in Cancer'

Join the Biology Department and Great Lakes Center for this seminar presented by Brian J. Altman, assistant professor in the Department of Biomedical Genetics at the University of Rochester Medical Center. All students, staff, and faculty are welcome.

Lunch and Learn Networking Session with Citi
12:15 to 1:30 p.m.
Classroom Building B118
Students will hear from Buffalo State alumni and Citi leaders on career development, current internship and full-time opportunities, and Citi Buffalo culture. Network with key executives and Buffalo State alumni. Refreshments will be provided. Hosted by the Career Development Center and the Economics Club.

Chalkfest
Noon to 3:30 p.m.
Upton Hall
Join the Visual Arts Board for its inaugural Chalkfest. Chalk art is a great way to de-stress, so come down and join in! Chalk and refreshments provided.

Self-Care Coloring
2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Campbell Student Union Fireside Lounge
Take care of yourself and de-stress with some coloring. The event is part of Prevention Education Week on campus.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25

Yoga
4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Buckham Hall D203
Join the Weigel Wellness Center for a free yoga class. Classes will be held on Mondays at 3:00 p.m., Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m., and Saturdays at noon throughout the semester. Yoga classes are part of Prevention Education Week on campus.

Webinar: Engage the 2020 Census: Resources for the Whole Campus

The April 1, 2020, census presents an opportunity to bridge students’ learning with their future careers, foster action on social issues students care about, and build the power and representation of historically undercounted communities through student and community participation. This webinar will help faculty develop course plans and staff create programming that will bring the census to life.

Teaching and Learning Center Breakfast Conversation: 'Becoming a Student-Ready Campus'

Please join us for a scholarly conversation about how to become a student-ready campus. We will discuss chapter 2 of the book Becoming a Student-Ready College: A New Culture of Leadership for Student Success, by Tia Brown McNair, Susan Albertine, Michelle Asha Cooper, Nicole McDonald, and Thomas Major Jr. (2016). The book can be retrieved from Butler Library's collection. Please register through the Workshop Registration System.

Apple Picking at Becker Farms

Join Wilderness Adventures for a trip to Becker Farms for apple picking. The apple orchard experience is $5.50 per person and includes a hayride to the orchard and a four-quart bag of apples. Meet in Cleveland Circle at 10:00 a.m., and bring extra spending money if you wish.
