MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 16

Seminar: 'Signaling Pathways That Control Morphogenesis in Fungi'

Casting Hall Productions presents this staged reading. The Casting Hall theater arts group sponsors and stages several major and minor plays throughout the year.

Constitution Day Celebration: Previewing the 20192020 Supreme Court Docket
12:15 to 1:30 p.m.
Bulger Communication Center 214
Peter Yacobucci, associate professor of political science and public law scholar, will present the Constitution Day celebration and discussion "U.S. Supreme Court 2019–2020 Term Preview: Will the Conservative Revolution Be Fulfilled?" Voter registration and updates will be available at the event. Come and join in celebration of the U.S. Constitution!

2019 New Citizens Day Celebration
12:15 to 1:30 p.m.
Cleveland Hall 418
Join the Community Academic Center as they recognize recent new citizens and students from the center's English as a New Language and Citizenship classes. Juweria Dahir of the City of Buffalo's Division of Citizen Services, and Louise Sano, owner of Global Villages on Grant Street, will speak. Light refreshments will be provided.

Teacher Tailgate
3:00 to 4:30 p.m.
Campbell Student Union Social Hall

Join the Professional Development Schools (PDS) Consortium for an open house gathering of education students, staff, and faculty to extend relationships across academic boundaries and share information and opportunities with teacher candidates. The event is open to all; advance registration is not necessary. Food and prizes!

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 19

Drum Circle
12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
Perry Quad
Join the Weigel Wellness Center in a fun, relaxing entry-level music-making and learning experience. Drums will be provided. Any last-minute cancellations or changes will be announced on their Facebook page.

Webinar: 'The Confounding Promise of Community: Why It Matters More Than Ever for Student Success'
2:00 to 3:00 p.m.

Buffalo State faculty and staff are invited to participate in this webinar that explores the role of community—as a concept, an outcome, and an entity—in a liberal education; how community can contribute to student success; and how students experience community, on and off campus. From multiple institutional perspectives, presenters will examine how a collective understanding of community can shape a commitment to equity and student success. Game Night

The Gaming Group will host this event featuring a variety of games including Monopoly, Just Dance, and Super Smash Bros. Take your mind off school for a bit, and see what game night is all about. Free Movie: The Intruder

Bring a blanket or lawn chair and join United Students Government for a special outdoor screening of this thriller starring Meaghan Good, Michael Ealy, and Dennis Quaid. Free popcorn! (If the weather doesn't cooperate, the movie will be shown in the Campbell Student Union Social Hall.)

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 21

Bengals Dare to Care Day
8:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Join President Katherine Conway-Turner as Buffalo State participates in a morning of service in the community, from 8:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with lunch immediately following. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to participate and be a part of the Buffalo State tradition! Service projects are identified in collaboration with community organizations across the city of Buffalo and transportation is provided—all you have to do is register. Volunteers will sign up for a project on the day of the event, so don't be late!

Decades Dance Silent Party
8:00 to 10:00 p.m.
Sports Complex
United Students Government presents the Decades Dance Silent Party. Costumes and outfits from decades past are encouraged for this giant silent party. Admission is free for Buffalo State students. Bring ID to get headphones and hear the music.
