Community Service Project: T-Shirt Bags for Lt. Matt Urban Center
Southway Breezeway
Matt Urban Hope Center’s “Rags to Bags” project provides environmentally friendly, reusable t-shirt bags to low-income individuals and families to fill up with items from the center’s food pantry.

Interactive Synthesizer Orchestra presents ‘Rough Smooth Long Short: Music of the AACM’
Ciminelli Recital Hall
The Digital Music Production program at Buffalo State presents ROUGH SMOOTH LONG SHORT, played by the Interactive Synthesizer Orchestra. The program consists entirely of music composed by members of the AACM (Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians), a Chicago-based organization formed in the 1960s and devoted to nurturing, performing, and recording adventurous original music. Free and open to the public.

Conversations in and out of the Disciplines: Crossing the Postmodern Divide: Trump, Truth, and Undergraduate Political Education

The spring 2019 Conversations in and out of the Disciplines series concludes as Patrick McGovern, associate professor of political science, presents “Crossing the Postmodern Divide: Trump, Truth, and Undergraduate Political Education.” The talk will be followed by a Q&A. A short wine and cheese reception will follow. Everyone is welcome.

21st annual Student Research and Creativity Conference
Caudell Hall
The Student Research and Creativity Conference starts on Friday with an opening reception, followed by the conference on Saturday in Caudell Hall. The conference allows undergraduate and graduate students an opportunity to present their preliminary or finished research in all academic areas. Presentations take many forms, including theatrical and musical performances, gallery exhibits, posters, talks, and demonstrations. View conference schedule and abstracts.

An afternoon of Bach, Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, Joplin, and Hayden performed by Peter Stadelman. Stadelman studies in the studio of Emily Boyce. Reception to follow the performance. Free and open to the public.

Emily Barger Voice Recital
Ciminelli Recital Hall
An evening of W.A. Mozart, Franz Schubert, Claude Debussy, and John Duke performed by Emily Barger. Barger studies in the studio of Holly Bewlay and will be accompanied by Ivan Docenko. Free and open to the public.
