Where’s the springlike weather we’re all waiting for? Hopefully it gets here soon. In the meantime, here’s a look at some of what’s happening this week on campus.

Help turn a t-shirt into a bag that will help someone! Matt Urban Hope Center’s “Rags to Bags” project provides environmentally friendly, reusable t-shirt bags to low-income individuals and families to fill up with items from the center’s food pantry.

Buffalo State Percussion Ensemble
Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall
The Buffalo State College Percussion Ensemble will perform a free concert. The ensemble commonly makes use of standard percussion instruments such as timpani, mallet keyboard instruments, tom toms, cymbals and gongs, but also employs sounds generated by found- or constructed-instruments such as car parts, architectural elements, and household furnishings. Join the Ethics Bowl for a discussion on gun rights, and who should be able to own them. Ethics Bowl will debate whether felons, persons with a mental illness, and those who use medical marijuana should be allowed to own guns.

An afternoon of Prokofiev, Tyzik, Wagenseil, and Davis performed by Peter Karda. Karda studies in the studio of Lon Gormley, and will be accompanied by Susan Schuman on piano. Free and open to everyone.
