Screening and Director Interview: Get Me Roger Stone

Join Investigative Post for a special double-header film screening and discussion with the director. First, a screening of Get Me Roger Stone, the award-winning Nexflix documentary. Following the screening, Jim Heaney will conduct a live interview with Morgan Pehme, a producer and director of the film and former editor of City & State. Jim Grunebaum Speaker Series: Myisha Cherry, Breaking Racial Rules Through Rage
Jacqueline Vito LoRusso Alumni and Visitor Center Costello Room
Myisha Cherry is an assistant professor at UC Riverside researching themes of forgiveness and anger as they relate to black victims of anti-black racism. Her expertise is in ethics, moral psychology, and social and political philosophy.

August Wilson Monologue Competition
Performing Arts Center at Rockwell Hall
The Paul Robeson Theatre at the African American Cultural Center presents the second annual August Wilson Monologue Competition (AWMC). The AWMC is designed to inspire and educate high school students to use monologues from Wilson's American Century Cycle, a 10-play cycle that details the complexity of the African American experience in the twentieth century. During the competition, students will perform their monologues in front of friends, family, and the general public, including a panel of judges. The event is free and open to the public.
