Welcome back! Here’s a look at what’s happening this week, as students, staff, and faculty get back into the swing of things.

SUNY Model European Union Information Session
Brexit! Eurozone! Passport-free travel in Europe! Are you interested in learning more about the European Union? Would you like to meet and work with students from other U.S. and European universities? If so, plan to attend an information session about the SUNY Model EU. Buffalo State will field a delegation to SUNYMEU, which takes place April 4-6, 2019, at the SUNY Global Center in New York City.

Please note: the Wednesday, January 30, and Thursday, January 31, information sessions have been postponed due to inclement weather.

Sledding at Chestnut Ridge
Chestnut Ridge Park
Join Wilderness Adventures for an afternoon of sledding and hiking on the eternal flame trail. Chestnut Ridge Park is a 1,213-acre park in Orchard Park, New York, originally named for the chestnut trees on its hills. It is currently the largest park operated by the Erie County Department of Parks, Recreation, and Forestry, and is open year-round. Meet at Moot Circle at 10:00 a.m. to carpool to the park.

STEM Fair
Science and Mathematics Complex Atrium
Sponsors and STEM-related students groups will offer a look at research and STEM-related activities on campus. The event coincides with the Science Olympiads Lake Erie/Niagara Division C Regionals, which will be held in the Classroom Building, Bulger Communications Building, and the Houston Gym. Events will run throughout the day.
