Buffalo Mayor Anthony Masiello will give the keynote address at Buffalo State College’s Department of Geography and Planning’s spring seminar, “Public Participation and Public Involvement in the Urban Planning Process,” to be held March 18, from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. in the E. H. Butler Library on the campus at 1300 Elmwood Ave.

The conference will investigate the roles various public and non-profit organizations play in the urban planning process; what federal, state and local mandates do the organizations operate under in fostering public input in urban planning; how is public input used in the urban planning process; and, what responses are taken once public input is provided.

The event is open to the public.
