Men’s Basketball Clobbers Morrisville
BUFFALO, NY—Buffalo State (8-14/5-10) got scoring from 14 different players en route to a 94-63 victory over visiting Morrisville State (5-18/2-13) in a SUNYAC contest tonight at the Sports Arena.
Antonio Samedi (St. Albans/ Queens Vocational) led the Bengals with 18 points. Jamar Gray (Rochester/ Bishop Kearney) added 14 points, and James Tyndal (Bronx/ Msgr. Scanlon) had nine points, 10 rebounds and seven assists.
Taylor Foster (White Plains/ Westlake Georgia) paced the Mustangs with 18 points and seven rebounds. Joe McCants (Bronx/ Harry S. Truman) had 14 points.
Buffalo State exploded out of the gates, racing to a 49-22 halftime advantage. The Bengals cruised in the second half to the 29-point win. Buffalo State owned the glass, outrebounding the Mustangs, 58-45, and outscoring Morrisville, 54-24, in the paint.
Buffalo State will host Oswego for the regular season finale tomorrow at 4 p.m. If the Bengals win, they will clinch a playoff berth. If they lose, they will be eliminated.
