Men's Basketball Downs Oneonta, 79-65

BUFFALO, NY—Perry Davis (Buffalo/Seneca) led four Bengals in double-figures with 25 points as Buffalo State (11-9/5-7) defeated Oneonta (3-17/2-10), 79-65, tonight at the Sports Arena.

Buffalo State never trailed after the game's opening minute as the Bengals sprinted to a 50-33 lead at the intermission. Oneonta closed the gap to 68-62 with 2:48 remaining, but Buffalo State finished the game on and 11-3 run to close out the 14-point victory.

Davis went 12-of-25 from the field and grabbed nine rebounds and added six assists. Freshman Aaron Carter (Niagara Falls/Niagara Falls) recorded his first career double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Joshua Becker (Hamburg/Frontier) and Kevin Roche (Williamsville/Williamsville East) each added 11 points for the Bengals.

Sean Coffey (New Paltz/New Paltz) led the Red Dragons with 17 points. Kurt Troyer (Albany/Bishop Maginn) and Adam Rios (New York/Seward Park) each scored 13 points, and MacLean Moore (Sunnyside/Garden School) added 12 points and 13 rebounds.

Buffalo State will host SUNYIT tomorrow at 8 p.m. The Red Dragons will visit Fredonia at 4 p.m.
