Buffalo State dropped the championship game of the Montclair State Invitational today, 74-55, to the host school who was chosen No. 7 in the nation in the preseason poll.

The Bengals took a 33-31 lead into the locker room at halftime, but faltered in the second half and came up short. Joshua Becker (Hamburg/Frontier) led the offense with 18 points, and Perry Davis (Buffalo/Seneca) added 13 points and six rebounds. Both players were named to the All-Tournament Team.

Buffalo State is now 1-1 and will return to action at home on December 2 when it opens its SUNYAC schedule against Oswego.
