Men’s Basketball Outmatched at UB

BUFFALO, NY—Division I University at Buffalo cruised past visiting Buffalo State, 113-48, in an exhibition contest tonight at Alumni Arena.

The Bulls jumped out to a 55-19 halftime advantage and never looked back. UB shot 49-percent from the field, compared to 40-percent by the Bengals, but attempted 47 more field goals. UB forced 53 Buffalo State turnovers.

Dion Mozelle (Rego Park/Xaverian) and CL Greene (New Rochelle/New Rochelle) led the Bengals with eight points each. Glenroy Carr (Amherst/Sweet Home) added five points and a game-high 11 rebounds.

Buffalo State will officially open its season when it host the annual Coles Classic on Nov. 16 and 17. The Bengals face D’Youville at 8 p.m. on the opening day of the tourney.
