Buffalo State has been chosen by the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) men's basketball coaches to claim their second consecutive league championship.

The Bengals return six of its top seven players from last year's team that captured the school's 17th conference title and made their 18th trip to the NCAA Tournament. First Team All-SUNYAC forwards Joshua Becker (Hamburg/Frontier) and Perry Davis (Buffalo/Seneca) return for the Bengals, as well as guards Justin and Jeremy Konst (Williamsville/Williamsville East).

The Bengals finished 19-9 overall last year after an opening-round loss in the NCAA Tournament to Scranton 58-56.
