Men's Basketball Player John Lawal
Men's basketball player John Lawal (Hempstead/Uniondale) was named the Buffalo State Athlete of the Week.
The sophomore forward helped the Bengals to a 1-1 record at the Elmhurst Bluejay Classic outside of Chicago, Ill. Lawal led the Bengals with 15 points and four rebounds in a loss to Carroll. He added 12 points and three assists the following day in an 80-65 win over Marian and was named to the All-Tournament Team.
Lawal and the Bengals will play in Phoenix, Ariz. on December 30 and 31 as part of the Grand Canyon Classic.
