Men's Basketball Player Josh Becker
Men's basketball player Josh Becker (Frontier) was named Buffalo State Athlete of the Week.
The junior hoopster led the Bengals to their 17th SUNYAC Championship this past week. Becker scored 65 points in the three Bengals wins, including a 29-point performance in a 67-62 victory over Oswego in the semifinals. He was named most valuable player of the tournament for his efforts.
Becker will lead the Bengals into the first round of the NCAA Division III tournament this Thursday at Scranton. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
