Men's basketball player Perry Davis (Buffalo/Seneca) was named the Buffalo State Athlete of the Week.

The senior forward was named the most valuable player of the Holiday Inn Invitational as he helped lead the Bengals to the tournament title with wins over Medaille and D'Youville. Davis posted a double-double in each game and averaged 15.0 points and 10.0 rebounds-per-contest. He also added four assists, three blocks and four steals.
