Men’s Basketball Tops Fredonia
FREDONIA, NY—In a game that featured 20 lead changes, Buffalo State (6-11/4-7) led last, winning 66-61 at Fredonia (6-14/3-8) in a SUNYAC game tonight at Steele Hall.
Jamar Gray (Rochester/ Bishop Kearney) led the Bengals with 16 points. James Tyndal (Bronx/Msgr. Scanlon) added 15 points, and Glenroy Carr (Amherst/Sweet Home) had 14 points and seven rebounds.
The Bengals trailed 34-30 at the intermission, but traded leads several times over the final 20 minutes. The Bengals led just 60-59 with just over two minutes remaining, and held the Blue Devils off down the stretch. The Bengals outscored Fredonia 24-13 at the free-throw line.
Buffalo State will host Houghton in a non-league game on Tuesday.
