Buffalo State basketball player Joshua Becker (Hamburg/Frontier) has garnered national attention this fall as he has been dubbed a Preseason All-American by Street and Smith's Magazine.

The senior forward led the Bengals to their 17th SUNYAC Championship and 18th trip to the NCAA Playoffs last season. He was named Second Team All-Region and First Team All-SUNYAC as he led Buffalo State with 18.9 points-per-game. Becker is on pace to become just the 17th player in the program's 74-year varsity history to score 1,000 career points as he has 784 points after just two years with the team.

Buffalo State will officially open its 2003-04 season at the Montclair State Tip-Off Tournament on November 21 and 22.
