Buffalo State fell to 5-15-0 overall and 1-8-0 in the SUNYAC tonight after losing 7-4 to conference opponent Potsdam at the Buffalo State Ice Arena.

Potsdam struck first at the 6:05 mark in the opening frame but Bengal forward Nick DeMarco (Niagara Falls/Niagara Falls) tied the game at 1-1 three minutes later. The Bears piled on two straight goals to make the score 3-1 before freshman Mike DeMarco (Niagara Falls/Niagara Falls) would find the back of the net to get the Bengals within one going into the second period. Junior Josh Magnuson (Chisago, MN/Lincoln Stars) scored on a pass from Morgan McElman (Bayside, NB/Elmira) to even the score at 3-3. Potsdam regained the lead on a powerplay goal but Mike DeMarco would tally his second goal of the night to knot the game at 4-4 with less than a minute left in the second period. Potsdam's Greg Lee scored thirty-seconds later to put the Bears up for good. Potsdam added two more goals to complete the scoring at 7-4.

The Bengals return to the ice on February 6, when they take on SUNYAC opponent Oswego. Game time is 7:00 pm.
