Mens Hockey Drops 6-3 Game to Manhattanville
Buffalo State dropped a non-conference game against Manhattanville today in a 6-3 loss at the Buffalo State Sports Arena. The Bengals drop to 1-10 overall, while the sixth ranked Valiants remain undefeated with a 7-0-0 record.
The Bengals struck first when freshman Mike DeMarco (Niagara Falls/Ft. Erie Meteors) scored an unassisted goal six minutes into the first period. The Valiants would hold a 2-1 edge going into the first intermission, and then add another goal in the opening minutes of the second frame. Buffalo State battled back to tie the game at three on goals from Morgan McElman (Bayside, New Brunswick/Elmira Jr. Jackals) and Mike Zalewski (Grand Rapids, MI/Bancroft Hawks). Manhattanvilles attack proved to be too much for the Bengals as the Valiants scored minutes after Zalewskis goal and twice more in the final period.
Buffalo State will be back in action on December 5, 2003 when they travel to Geneseo for a SUNYAC game against the Knights. Gametime is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
