BUFFALO, NY--Despite scoring four power play goals, Buffalo State (3-4/1-2) fell to Geneseo (5-1-1/2-1-0), as the Knights rallied for a 5-4 overtime victory tonight at the Sports Arena.

Defenseman Sean O'Connell (Buffalo/St. Francis) notched a pair of goals in the opening period to give the Bengals a 2-0 lead going into the first intermission. The Knights came out in the second frame with a pair of goals of their own in the opening 4:53. Sean Burke (Barrie, ON/St. Peter's) reclaimed the lead for the Bengals at 15:18 of that period with his eighth goal of the season.

Buffalo State extended its lead to two goals 7:39 into the third period on a point shot from Mike Ansell (Ashburn, VA/Broad Run) that found the back of the net on a deflection. Geneseo would even the score with a pair of power play goals late in the period, however, capitalizing on a Buffalo State five-minute major for checking from behind. The Knights would eventually score the winner 3:58 into overtime.

Greg Prybylski (Cheektowaga/Cheektowaga) and Jason Hill (Niagara Falls/Niagara Falls) added two assists each for the Bengals. Geneseo outshot the Bengals 33-28. Buffalo State was 4 for 7 on the power play, while the Knights went 3 for 9.
