Men's Hockey Falls at Potsdam, 5-3
Potsdam was 4-of-6 on the power play and added an empty net goal to beat Buffalo State, 5-3, tonight in a SUNYAC game in "North Country".
Josh Magnuson (Chisago, MN/Chisago Lakes) scored a pair of goals, and Sean Burke (Barrie, ON/St. Peter's) added a single marker for the Bengals. Buffalo State tied the score at 3-3 with 1:00 remaining in the second period, but a pair of third period goals for the Bears put the Bengals away. Sean Sheehan (Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape) made 45 saves as Buffalo State was outshot 50-25.
The Bengals fell to 2-4-1 overall and 1-1-1 in SUNYAC play. Buffalo State will visit Plattsburgh tonight at 7 p.m.
