Men's hockey player Mike DeMarco (Niagara Falls/Niagara Falls) was named the Buffalo State Athlete of the Week.

The sophomore forward tallied four goals and two assists as the Bengals opened SUNYAC play 1-0-1. DeMarco had a hand in all four goals in a 4-4 tie against Brockport on Friday, scoring twice and adding a pair of helpers. He chipped in a two more goals on Saturday, in a 6-3 win over Geneseo.
