Men's hockey player Sean Burke (Barrie, ON/St. Peter's) was named the Buffalo State Athlete of the Week.

The senior criminal justice major led the Bengals to a two-game split to open the season at the SUNYAC Challenge in Fredonia this past weekend. Burke scored a pair of goals in the Bengals' 4-2 win over Brockport on Friday. He added a goal and an assist in a 6-4 loss to Cortland on Saturday.

Burke and the Bengals will travel to Wisconsin this weekend to meet Marian and St. Norbert.
