Men's Hockey Players Burke and Sheehan

Men's hockey players Sean Burke (Barrie, ON/St. Peter's) and Sean Sheehan (Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape) were named Buffalo State Co-Athletes of the Week, after helping the Bengals clinch their second SUNYAC playoff berth in school history.

Burke, a senior criminal justice major, had five goals and three assists in a pair of wins over the weekend. He tallied three goals and two assists in a 7-0 win over Geneseo, the 10th-ranked team in the nation.

Sheehan, a junior criminal justice major, set a new school record with his second shutout of the season, stopping 43 shots to blank Geneseo. He made 30 saves in a 4-3 overtime win at Brockport the next night.

Buffalo State will close out is regular season at home this Friday and Saturday against Plattsburgh and Potsdam respectively.
