Men's Hockey Skates Past Morrisville, 5-3
MORRISVILLE, NY—Nick Petriello (St. Catharines, ON) and Kerry Barchan (Oakville, ON) each had two goals and an assist as Buffalo State (5-8-2/2-4-2) defeated host Morrisville (4-13), 5-3, in a SUNYAC contest tonight at the IcePlex.
After Morrisville evened the score at 3-3 midway through the third period, Petriello netted the game-winner with just 5:02 remaining. Joe Curry (Indian River, ON) added an empty-net goal in the closing minute to complete the scoring. Connor King (Brentwood, TN) had two assists for the Bengals.
Buffalo State outshot the Mustangs, 38-22, for the game. Kyle Gunn-Taylor (W. Seneca, NY) made 19 saves for the Bengals.
Buffalo State will visit Morrisville again tomorrow for a 7 p.m. face off.
