Men's Hockey Ties Brockport, 2-2
BUFFALO, NY—Nick Lynch (Depew/St. Joe’s) scored two goals as Buffalo State (9-8-3/4-4-3) skated to a 2-2 tie with visiting Brockport (6-11-3/3-6-2) in a SUNYAC game tonight at the Ice Arena.
Brockport got on the board first with a goal in the seventh minute of the first period. Buffalo State scored twice in the second frame to take a 2-1 lead, but the Golden Eagles evened things with a power play goal less than one minute into the third period to tie things at two, with neither team able to find the back of the net in overtime period. Jason Hill (Niagara Falls/Niagara Falls) had two assists and Johnny Duco (Toronto, ON/Cardinal Newman) and Ryan Ramage (Ft. Erie, ON/Ft. Erie) each had one helper for the Bengals.
Buffalo State held a slim 36-34 advantage in shots. Kyle Gunn-Taylor (W. Seneca/Orchard Park) made 32 saves for the Bengals.
Buffalo State will next travel to Plattsburgh on Friday for a 7 p.m. game.
