Men’s Hockey Wins Fourth Straight, Edges Morrisville
MORRISVILLE, NY—Buffalo State (6-8-2/3-4-2) extended its winning-streak to four games with a 3-2 victory over host Morrisville (4-14) in a SUNYAC contest tonight at the IcePlex.
Nick Lynch (Depew) had a goal and an assist, scoring the game-winner on the power play in the final minute of the second period to break a 2-2 tie. Nick Petriello (St. Catharines, ON) scored his team-leading 10th goal of the season and added an assist. Tyler Soehner (Baden, ON) also scored for the Bengals.
Buffalo State dominated play, outshooting Morrisville, 44-21, including 36-13 over the first two periods. Sophomore transfer Travis Moore (Simcoe, ON) made 19 saves for Buffalo State against his former team.
Buffalo State will go back on the road next weekend for a two-game set against Johnson & Wales in Rhode Island next Friday and Saturday.
