Buffalo State opened its season today with a 4-2 win over Brockport at the SUNYAC Challenge in Fredonia, giving Nick Carriere a victory in his first game as a head coach.

Sean Burke (Barrie, ON) led the Bengals with a pair of goals. Paul Gagnon (Troy, MI) had a goal and an assist, and Mike DeMarco (Niagara Falls, NY) added a single goal. Jason Hill (Niagara Falls, NY) added a pair of assists. Sean Sheehan (Mt. Laurel, NJ) made 33 saves.

Buffalo State will wrap up the SUNYAC Challenge tomorrow at Fredonia against Cortland at 2 p.m.
