Men's Hockey Works Overtime to Beat Brockport, 4-3

BROCKPORT, NY--Jason Hill (Niagara Falls/Niagara Falls) scored 3:19 into overtime to give visiting Buffalo State (10-11-1/7-5) a 4-3 victory over Brockport (2-17-1/1-9) in a SUNYAC game tonight at Tuttle North Ice Arena.

Buffalo State led 2-0 after the opening period, but the Golden Eagles knotted the score with a pair of goals in the first 1:11 of the second stanza. The Bengals regained the lead later in that period, but Brockport evened the score again 7:17 into the final frame, but Hill sealed the win for the Bengals with assists from Sean Burke (Barrie, ON/St. Peter's) and Greg Prybylski (Cheektowaga/Cheektowaga).

Hill finished with a goal and an assist. Burke had two goals and an assist, and Brian Janke (Anchorage, AK/Service) also scored for the Bengals. Sean Sheehan (Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape) made 30 saves for Buffalo State, as the Bengals outshot the Golden Eagles 49-33.

Buffalo State will next host Plattsburgh next Friday at 7 p.m.
