Men's hockey player Sean Sheehan (Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape) and men's basketball player Gregg Jones (Syracuse/Nottingham) were named the Buffalo State Co-Athletes of the Week.

Sheehan, a junior goalie, led Buffalo State to its first-ever weekend sweep of Plattsburgh and Potsdam. The criminal justice major made 26 saves in the Bengals 2-1 win over No. 10 Plattsburgh on Friday, and stopped 34 shots in the 4-3 overtime win at Potsdam on Saturday. Sheehan has started every game thus far, leading the Bengals to a 6-7 overall record and a 4-3 SUNYAC mark.

Jones, a senior business major, paced the Bengals to a 2-1 week, including wins over Fredonia and Oneonta. Jones set a school record with eight 3-pointers against Fredonia and tallied a career-high 31 points. He topped that total on Saturday, with 33 points in a loss at SUNYIT. Jones averaged 23.3 points in the three-game stretch and is currently second on the team with 18.7 point-per game.
