Brockport (10-2-2/5-1-2) scored two goals in the games closing minutes to stun visiting Buffalo State, 4-3, today in a SUNYAC battle, but Buffalo State still managed to clinch a SUNYAC playoff berth by virtue of a Cortland loss. The berth is the first for the Bengals since 1998, and just the second since 1984.

The Golden Eagles took a 2-0 lead early in the first half of today's game, but Buffalo State stormed back to tie the score before the intermission with goals by Josh Mitchell (Schenectady/S. Colonie) and Richard Namulala (Kenmore/Kenmore West). The Bengals took a 3-2 lead in the second half on a goal by Randy Haight (Roseville, CA/Woodcreek). Brockport scored the game tying goal with 85:40 to play, and notched the winner with just 89:02 remaining.

Buffalo State fell to 11-3-2 overall and 5-3 in SUNYAC play. The Bengals will close out their regular season with a home contest against Fredonia on Wednesday.
