Men’s Soccer Falls to Elmira, 2-1

Buffalo State fell to 1-6-2 today after losing 2-1 at home against the Elmira Soaring Eagles. With the win, Elmira improved to 3-4 on the year.

Bengal forward Brian Miller (Tonawanda, Kenmore East) tied the game at 1-1 on an unassisted goal with eight minutes left in regulation. The Soaring Eagles would score less than two minutes later, however, on a corner kick that beat Bengal goaltender Shawn McDonell (West Seneca, West Seneca East) in the right corner of the net. The Soaring Eagles scored their first goal in the ninth minute of the game. The Bengals outshot the Soaring Eagles 15-9 in the contest.

The Bengals will return to action on Tuesday when they host St. John Fisher on Coyer Field at 4:00 p.m.
