Men's soccer player Tony Schiappa (Williamsville/ Williamsville East) was named the Buffalo State Athlete of the Week. The freshman hospitality major tallied a goal and an assist to lead the Bengals to their first SUNYAC win of the season, 3-1, over New Paltz on Saturday. Schiappa leads Buffalo State with six points in seven games this season.
