Men's Soccer Plays to Draw with Geneseo, 1-1

Buffalo State (6-4-4/2-2-3) and Geneseo (9-1-3/4-1-2) played to a 1-1 draw in a SUNYAC battle today at Coyer Field in a foul-filled contest.

Ben Miller (Oswego/Oswego) opened the scoring for the Bengals in the 22nd minute on a one-timer off of a pair of quick touch passes from Prisco Houndanon (Togo, W. Africa) and Joshua Mitchell (Schenectady/S. Colonie). Geneseo's Joe Walter (Snyder/Nichols) evened the score on a rebound of the post in the 37th minute to complete the scoring.

The teams combined for 46 fouls, with Geneseo committing 26 to Buffalo State's 20. The Bengals outshot Geneseo 10-9.

A penalty kick shootout was held for tiebreaker purposes after the game was completed, and Buffalo State prevailed 5-4.

Buffalo State will host No. 11 Brockport tomorrow at 1 p.m.
