Men's Soccer Rallies Past DeSales, 2-1
BALTIMORE--Buffalo State (2-1) scored the final two games to record a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over DeSales (0-4) today in the first round of the Johns Hopkins Classic.
After a scoreless opening half, DeSales took a 1-0 advantage in the 50th minute, but John Taggart (Tonawanda/Tonawanda) evened the score in the 62nd minute with an assist from Peter Anthony (Marietta/Tully). Joshua Mitchell (Schenectady/S. Colonie) netted the game winner in the 65th minute from Zackary Eastman (Perrysburg/Lakeshore).
Buffalo State outshot DeSales, 13-12, and Dan Corti (Amawalk/Somers) made seven saves to preserve the win for the Bengals.
Buffalo State will play Washington and Lee tomorrow at 2 p.m.
