Men's Soccer Season Ends in Heartbreaking Fashion

Buffalo State's season came to an end 3:08 into the second overtime period today, as New Paltz (12-9) finally broke a scoreless tie to claim a 1-0 victory in the SUNYAC Quarterfinals.

Buffalo State was unable to generate any offense as it managed just five shots for the game, all coming in the second half. New Paltz's leading scorer Greg Foss finally scored an unassisted goal on the team's 13th shot of the contest in the games 104th minute. Buffalo State goalkeeper Sean McDonell (W. Seneca/W. Seneca East) made six saves.

Buffalo State finished the season with its best record since 1984 at 11-5-2 and made its first postseason appearance since 1998.
