Buffalo State captured the championship in the Bethany (WV) Tournament today, by beating the host school, 1-0.
Prisco Houndanon (Benin, West Africa) scored the game's only goal in the 25th minute with an assist from Doug DeCook (Newark/Midlakes). Goalkeeper Shawn McDonell (W. Seneca/W. Seneca East) needed to make just three saves for the shutout.
Buffalo State improved to 5-0-1 on the season and will open conference play on Friday when it travels to SUNYIT.
