Buffalo State women's hockey player Crissy Michalek (West Seneca/West Seneca East) was named the ECAC West Co-Goaltender of the Week after registering her first career shut-out this past weekend against Trinity.

Michalek's play between the pipes helped the Bengals skate to a 1-0 victory against Trinity on Saturday. The West Seneca native made 31 saves to help the Bengals snap an 11 game winless streak. Michalek has posted a .876 save percentage with a 2-1 record in net for Buffalo State this season.

Utica’s Sarah Detwiler split the honor with Michalek for her play in net for the Pioneers last weekend. The Bengals are back on the ice for two home games on Friday and Saturday against Bethel College. Face-off is scheduled for 4:00 pm both days.
