Mikolaichik Earns Academic All-District Honors

Buffalo State junior quarterback Mike Mikolaichik (Hilton/Hilton) has been selected to the 2004 District 1 College Division Football All-Academic First Team, as chosen by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). As a first team honoree, he becomes eligible for National Academic All-American consideration.

Mikolaichik is an elementary education major with a 3.23 grade point average. He has started all nine games for the Bengals, passing for 1,364 yards and seven touchdowns. He has also rushed for 101 yards and has scored six touchdowns on the ground.

Mikolaichik will lead the Bengals in their final game of the season tomorrow at Brockport. Buffalo State will look to finish the season with a .500 record as it enters the season finale with a 4-5 record and riding a three-game winning-streak.
